An Image that Breathes New Life
Overview
Renewal Physical Therapy and Neuro Rehabilitation was born out of the desire to provide neuro and pediatric physical therapy to a community that lacked this specific niche of physical therapy. They provide services to those with brain injuries, trauma, and strokes. Renewal’s major differentiator offers a more affordable cash-based payment process instead of the typical medical process which runs services through insurance. They provide trustworthy, dependable, and service-driven care in a nurturing and authentic environment with a mission to renew body, mind, and spirit through optimizing movement.
Approach
Visuals
The client was looking for imagery that portrayed strength and movement. Inspired by the resemblance of neurons to that of trees, several logo variations were created. Some designs were sketches of literal trees, and others were more abstract semblances. The client’s vision and brand is also built on the Biblical scripture from Isaiah 40:30-31, "Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” This verse inspired variations with birds and feathers.
Results
The final logo is an abstract interpretation of a neuron and a tree. The minimal design allows for it to stand alone as a mark, as well as pair strongly with its typeface. Working closely with the client’s medical and psychological knowledge, we chose a color palate that would be soothing for patients and could be implemented into the clinic’s interior design.
Mood boards were developed to help the client experience the look and feel of the brand. The boards combined colors, textures, fonts, and imagery. Branded stationery and business cards were created, as well as interior and exterior signage.
Conclusion
A well-rounded brand has been created that tells the client’s story as they breathe new life into all lives they touch.
Soon after the launch of Renewal Physical Therapy and Neuro Rehabilitation the founders branched into a family of practices, all based on the long-term goal of providing comprehensive, interdisciplinary, cash-based, outpatient neuro-rehabilitative care to patients who have sustained brain injuries or suffer from neurological conditions. Renewal Optometry, LLC was thus formed. Their mission is to enhance lives by optimizing vision and bringing sight to the unseen. To maintain consistency with the family of practices, the same design elements, colors, and styles were applied but were modified to fit within the optometric field.
